Position Overview: The Construction Technician closely monitors the continuous progress of work on site during all phases such as excavation, reinforcement tying, concreting, etc., in collaboration with the Site Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors the continuous progress of work on site during all phases such as excavation works, reinforcement tying and connection, concreting of structures, masonry work, plastering, etc.
• Familiarizes with the project, from the site engineer, down to the details of the area assigned to work on.
• Reads and verifies the implementation of the project in accordance with the requirements, technical specifications, and conditions for implementation (KTZ).
• Informs the site engineer about the progress of work, daily issues, defects that may be identified, and provides suggestions for improvements.
• Coordinates work with the site engineer on various work fronts at the construction site to ensure the continuity of work according to the work schedule.
• Coordinates with the site engineer to define daily priorities and assigns tasks to the labor groups while monitoring their progress during the workday.
• Executes the tasks, requirements, and instructions given by the site engineer.
• Monitors the quality and quantity of materials arriving at the construction site and ensures their proper storage, preservation, and application on the site.
• Ensures continuity of work even in the absence of the site engineer and has the authority to stop and/or not begin work on the site in case of violation or non-compliance with KTZ and/or health and safety conditions at work.
• Defines the required workforce and presents it to the site engineer.
• Keeps a register of workers and their attendance, as well as the processes they are involved in during their work on the site.
• Other tasks that may be assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have completed a technical secondary school in construction;
• 5 years of work experience;
• Ability to read and understand projects, know and apply KTZ (Conditions of Technical Implementation);
• Experience in project implementation;
• Technical competencies related to the work;
• Good skills in control, organization, and reporting;
• Good communication skills;
• Flexible to work in cases of high work volume.
