Role: Quality Control and Assurance Engineer (QA/QC Engineer)

Role Summary: The Quality Control and Assurance Engineer monitors and ensures that construction processes comply with standards, specifications, and technical codes in accordance with the Quality Management System, national standards, the company’s internal policies, and client requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance:
• Develops implementation plans for quality control according to international standards ISO 9001, company policies, and technical specifications of projects.
• Prepares checklists to ensure the implementation of projects in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Identifies implementation risks and develops a strategic risk management plan.
• Collaborates with engineering and site staff in presenting and familiarizing them with quality standards and procedures.
• Prepares delivery lists, approvals, and inspection requests in accordance with the project schedule.
• Quality Control:
• Controls incoming materials to ensure compliance with specifications and certifications.
• Monitors and verifies work on-site according to drawings, specifications, and approved methodologies.
• Organizes and oversees the establishment of mini-laboratories and human resource capacities for project service.
• Follows up on project progress for the proper documentation as standards and test sheets.
• Organizes and is responsible for staff training on conducting relevant tests on-site.
• Determines the type of tests to be conducted on-site based on available equipment and competencies.
• Periodically inspects tests performed by the responsible staff of the company and assists them during execution.
• Follows procedures for conducting material tests in licensed specialized laboratories, from sample collection, transportation to the laboratory, and obtaining valid certification of results.
• Conducts financial analysis and determines the cost of laboratory tests in the project phase and proposes solutions for executing them within the limits defined in the budget.
• Maintains the inventory of laboratory equipment and ensures their proper functioning.
• Collaborates closely with site managers for the approval of the quality of materials used during project implementation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Civil Engineering/Materials;
• Work experience of over 5 years;
• Very good knowledge in the use of computer programs (CAD, EXCEL).
